In preparing for the Comprehensive Plan update, one of our main tasks was to take a look at available research and data and review the current status of our zones. To make the information more accessible and help tell the story, we prepared infographics on the major zones in Wasco County.
Above is an infographic which gives some basic facts about residential zones in Wasco County. Outside of the scenic area, these zones (including RR-10, RR-5, and FF-10) make up approximately 1.1% percent of lands in Wasco County. That amounts to roughly 12,344 acres. Many of Wasco County’s 7,800+ residents who live outside incorporated areas live in these zones. This includes unincorporated rural communities like Pine Hollow and Tygh Valley.
