Planning staff have received notice that DLCD is engaged in rulemaking about several Oregon Revised Statutes that impact agricultural lands.  Commend is open until March 19, 2020.

Specifically, the proposed amendments relate to the following 2019 legislation affecting agricultural and forest lands:

  • HB 2106 amends the requirements for dog training classes and testing trials in Lane and Washington counties and clarifies requirements for extending dwelling permit approvals.
  • HB 2573 reduces the income requirement to qualify for a primary farm dwelling in conjunction with a cranberry farm.
  • HB 3024 eliminates the requirement that a structure in an exclusive farm use or mixed farm-forest zone be assessed as a dwelling for the previous five-years in order to be eligible for replacement.
