On November 3rd, 2021 the Board of County Commissioners approved updates to the Land Use and Development Ordinance, including revisions to Chapter 2, 21, the creation of a new Chapter 22 (Road Standards) and revisions to several overlay zones (formerly Environmental Protection Districts).
The next step is for the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development to review the proposed changes for consistency with state law. Staff anticipates that review taking a few months, upon which the revisions will be ready to use, sometime in early 2022.
You can still learn about the proposed changes by following the links above, visiting our first or third virtual open houses, or checking out some of the past events that include presentations.
The updated Land Use and Development Ordinance will be available, once approved by the State, on the Wasco County Planning Department homepage.
